Adoptive Parent Coordinator
As the Adoptive Parent Coordinator, I work closely with adoptive parents throughout the entire process of adopting, from the initial Application to the final adoption. I begin the journey with adoptive parents once they decide to work with A Chosen Child and we begin their Home Study. I provide support and encouragement while the family waits for their “match”. I then follow them through the placement and on to the finalization of their adoption. I offer a full range of support that includes identifying their family needs and helping them to understand what is important to a birth family. My goal is find the best fit for an adoptive family and a birth family. One of the most important things I do is to guide adoptive families through this emotional journey, while actively assisting them with the practical steps necessary to become an adoptive family.
I attended Seminole Community College and Valencia Community College, and have extensive work experience in an OB/GYN office. I also worked as a Legal Assistant and an Office Manager at a law firm before I joined A Chosen Child, Inc. in 2007 as the Adoptive Parent Coordinator.
When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my husband and two daughters. We love going to the beach and entertaining at home with friends. During quieter moments, I love to read.
What do I love most about my job?
I love seeing families created through the blessing of adoption. I truly believe there is the right adoptive family for each child and birth family. It is a privilege to facilitate these matches and to share the adoption journey with my families. I love to see how the families are doing long after they go home with their new child.
