Birth Parent Coordinator
As a Birth Parent Coordinator I assist the Birth Parents through the entire adoption process. I assess them for social service needs and for their emotional needs. I keep a close relationship with them and support them through the journey. I provide transportation to and from appointments and maintain important records and documents.
I joined A Chosen Child, Inc. in 2003 as a Receptionist, and eventually worked my way up to Birth Parent Coordinator. Shortly after having my second daughter I left the company to stay home with her for a couple of years. In 2010, I came back into my current position with the agency.
I am happily married with two little girls. We have two dogs and a cat and we enjoy spending as much time as we can together. We enjoy boating, fishing, camping, listening to music, watching movies and traveling. The biggest supporter in my life is my mom. We have a very close relationship and I believe this gives me everything I need to do my job to it’s fullest.
What do I love most about my job?
I love making connections with people. It brings me great joy to know that I am helping someone and supporting them in every way I can. I love lifting them up, guiding them through this very difficult process and helping them to see the amazing outcome of their courageous decision.
