Patricia Strowbridge, Esq. BCS

Executive Director

Patricia L. Strowbridge has been Board Certified by The Florida Bar in the area of Marital and Family Law since 1996. She has maintained an active trial practice providing representation in all areas of Florida family law since 1988, when she was admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court and all other courts of the State of Florida.

She lectures extensively and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida.  Ms. Strowbridge has represented thousands of clients in matters of adoption, guardianship, child custody and general family law.  Over the last several years, her practice has had a strong focus on adoption related matters and has represented over 600 individuals and families in completing private, agency, international, step-parent, and relative adoptions.

Ms. Strowbridge is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and a past President and currently a Director of the Florida Adoption Council.  She carries a coveted “AV” rating (preeminent attorney with the highest ethics rating) with Martindale-Hubbel, the nationally recognized evaluator of attorney competency and ethics.

Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Strowbridge is most proud of her role as the primary author of the 2003 Florida Adoption Reform Act signed into law by Governor Jeb Bush on May 30, 2003.  She also currently serves as the Executive Director of A Chosen Child, Inc., a Florida licensed non-profit child placing agency, and she serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Jeremiah’s Child, a private foster care ministry for children up to five years of age.

Ms. Strowbridge’s personal life is enriched by spending time with her five children and two grandchildren and considers her role as “mother” to be the most important job she has ever had.  She became involved in adoption after her oldest daughter came to her as a middle schooler in need of a safe and secure home in which to grow.  She loves knowing that the children she places for adoption will be cherished by their new family and given opportunities that their birth family wants for them but can not provide.  She also understands the special gifts the child will bring to their new family and the many ways they will be blessed.
